Yes. Choose Culture / meme for memes, jokes and internet culture. All four profile types share the map, but companies, creators, communities and Culture have separate rankings. A map filter hides other categories without changing anyone's placement size. Country totals include every category; Loved compares Cheers across categories. The same content rules apply to everyone.

A placement is digital visibility on the public map - a listing and a current painted share inside a country. Not land, property, equity, securities, or a return.

Your listing stays on the map and in its history. The painted share can - and most likely will - shrink when others place more in the same country.

Charity: Charity = 25% of completed placement revenue excluding VAT, refunds, chargebacks, and payment-processing fees. Hosting, opex, and salary are not deducted before that 25%. A placement is not a tax-deductible donation. SpotMyMap is not itself a charity. Transfers follow the 25% rule only after paid placements complete.

Yes as a fan / tribute listing when you are honest that it is unofficial. If you choose I represent this brand, that is your attestation - SpotMyMap does not verify ownership at checkout. Impersonation and abuse get reviewed. See Content rules.

After payment you get a manage link for that placement (in your browser and by email). Save the link - it is how you edit profile details. Boost payments do not unlock profile edit. If you lose the link, use manage recovery on /manage with your claim id and the email you used at Stripe (or the Confirmation email override at checkout), or email support.

No. The country is re-partitioned by contribution. You get a share; others shrink. Preview patches are approximate and translucent - not a permanent paint-over.

Choose EUR or USD at checkout. Your contribution amount is charged in the selected currency, and the final amount is shown in Stripe Checkout before payment. Minimum placement: €1 or $1. The contribution amount shown at checkout is the map price. SpotMyMap does not add a payment-method surcharge; Stripe may still show FX conversion details when your card currency differs. Live charges use a payment provider. Map activation waits on a signed webhook, not the success page alone. See Payments.

If content is rejected or refused before activation because it cannot be accepted, you receive a full refund. If a placement is removed after activation because the user or content violated SpotMyMap rules, there is no discretionary moderation refund. If SpotMyMap makes a technical error, duplicates or wrongly charges you, or wrongfully removes a placement, we provide a full refund or appropriate correction. If a payment is refunded, reversed, or successfully disputed, the placement may be removed or suspended from the live map. These moderation refund rules do not limit any mandatory consumer withdrawal, refund, chargeback, statutory guarantee, or other non-waivable consumer rights. Where mandatory law gives you a right to withdraw or receive money back, that right takes precedence. Details also live in Terms.

If you buy as a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days of the contract. SpotMyMap does not use a digital-download waiver for this product. SpotMyMap is a small independently built product. These pages describe how the service works today.

The homepage map, fonts, and boards feed are served from spotmymap.com only. We do not load Google Analytics, Facebook, or other ad trackers on first paint. Some browser extensions (for example Pie Adblock) block JavaScript files whose names look like cookie or analytics scripts even when they are first-party site code. SpotMyMap should still load if that happens - you may just miss the preferences banner until you allowlist the site. If the whole site fails to open, check Pi-hole Query Log for a block on spotmymap.com itself and allowlist it. Some networks also block challenges.cloudflare.com; that breaks request-form bot checks only, not the map. Allowlist that domain if you need to submit a request. Stripe checkout uses checkout.stripe.com when you pay.
